The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2025 is set to take place in Honiara from February 1 to 8, bringing together contestants from across the Pacific for a week of cultural celebration and fierce competition.
In a press conference on January 10 at the Heritage Park Hotel, Pageant Director Joyce Konofilia unveiled the detailed schedule for the highly anticipated event. The festivities will begin with the arrival of contestants, delegates, and supporters on January 30 and 31. On February 1, contestants will undergo a briefing and the launch of the online voting for the People’s Choice Award at the Honiara Hotel.

The next day, contestants will make courtesy visits to the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, as well as the National Referral Hospital, where they will meet with staff and visit the children’s ward. The day will conclude with the Chupu Ceremony at Maranatha Hall.
On February 4, contestants will visit the Solomon Islands National University before heading to Graceland Tourist Site in East Guadalcanal. The following day, February 5, will see them visiting Tanaghai in Kakabona for a school visit and engaging with local artists at the Art Gallery.
The key events include the Speech Competition on February 6, followed by the Float Parade on February 7, and the eagerly awaited Crowning Night on February 8.
Pageant Director Konofilia also announced the generous prizes for the event, with Coral Sea Resort & Casino supporting the overall winner and first runner-up. Other sponsors include Honiara Pokey’s Club, Solomon Islands Ports Authority, Bank South Pacific, Tourism Solomons, Printwise, and SATSOL.
Konofilia emphasized the importance of business support for the pageant, citing the visibility and promotional opportunities that come with sponsorship. She also acknowledged the vital support from the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, encouraging all Solomon Islanders to get behind the event as an opportunity to showcase the nation’s culture, hospitality, and pride.
This year’s theme, “Leadership in Diversity and Adversity,” celebrates the strength and resilience of Pacific women. Contestants will represent countries including Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati, Nauru, Cook Islands, American Samoa, and the Solomon Islands.
Reigning Miss Pacific Islands, Moemoana Schwenke of Samoa, will also attend the event. Miss Solomon Islands, Elsie Polosovai, is preparing to proudly represent the host nation.
Tickets for the Crowning Night will be available for purchase from January 13, with limited availability. General Admission tickets are priced at $200 for adults and $100 for children. VIP tickets, which include dining and the show, are available at $1,000 each, and VIP tables seating 10 guests are priced at $10,000 per table.
