On Commonwealth Day 2025, King Charles calls for unity, peace, and action on global challenges, including climate change.
March 10, 2025, marks Commonwealth Day, with King Charles urging member nations to embrace unity and cooperation in a time of global uncertainty.
In his message, the King reflected on the recent Commonwealth leaders’ meeting in Samoa, where nations reaffirmed their commitment to working together as one family. He stressed that diversity should be seen as a strength and an opportunity for learning, rather than a challenge.
This year also marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. King Charles paid tribute to the over one-and-a-half million Commonwealth men and women who served in the war, honoring their sacrifice and selflessness.
He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration on peace, human rights, and environmental restoration. “There is no more important task than to restore the disrupted harmony of our entire planet,” he said.
Commonwealth leaders recently reiterated their commitment to addressing pressing global challenges, including climate change and sustainable development, as they work to secure a better future for younger generations.
