Book on Solomon Scouts launched – 80 years after WW2

This year 2022 marks 80 years since the ‘Battle of Guadalcanal’. A lot of the natives in Solomon Islands (BSIP) supported the US Marine and the Allied Forces during the war. They were known as the ‘Scouts’. Recently the Solomon Scouts and Coast Watchers Trust Board launched a book called the ‘Pride of the Nations’. This book recognizes the courage, loyalty and sacrifice of these scouts. It is written by Michael Ben, a native Solomon Islander.
