USNS Mercy arrive in Honiara for Pacific Partnership

The “USNS Mercy” arrived in Honiara on the 29th of August, 2022 for the 17th Pacific Partnership. The largest naval hospital is in Honiara to carry out humanitarian work with the health, agriculture and disaster sector. For the health sector, only selected patients from the National Referral Hospital will be able to get attention from the health and medical specialists on board the vessel. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to receive the medical support they need. Pacific Partnership not only focuses on the health sector but works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
