Study Australia Education Roadshow Showcases Tertiary Programs at Six Leading Institutions
Six Australian universities are visiting Honiara for the Study Australia Education Mission Roadshow to Solomon Islands today. This is the second premier education exhibition to be held in Solomon Islands for tertiary education opportunities available in Australia. The six Australian universities currently in Honiara, as part of the Study Australia Education Roadshow are Curtin University, Flinders University, James Cook University, Murdoch University, The University of New Castle, and The University of Sydney.
Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, His Excellencey Rod Hilton said interest in gaining access to high quality Australian tertiary education is growing, with career opportunities opening up in response to new government investment programs and private sector expansion.
“Australia has a reputation for academic excellence and is one of the best places in the world to live while studying,” High Commissioner Hilton said. “Many Solomon Islanders, who have achieved tertiary qualifications in Australia have made significant contributions to Solomon Islands development, strengthening economic growth through providing critical capacity in areas including business management, law, climate change action, infrastructure, ICT, health, education and governance.” The Study Australia Roadshow will be held at Friendship Hall, Honiara from 9:00am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 10 September 2024. The Study Australia Education Mission Roadshow to Solomon Islands is not a scholarship program. Training programs and their formats and the associated costs can be discussed with participating universities.
