Hundreds gathered in Honiara for the Miss Pacific Islands 2025 Float Parade, celebrating culture and tradition across Pacific nations.
Hundreds of spectators lined the streets of Honiara today, Friday to witness the Miss Pacific Islands 2025 Float Parade. The event featured eight contestants representing various Pacific countries parading through the capital ahead of the competition’s final stages this weekend.
The parade started at the Solomon Islands National Stadium in East Honiara, making its way through to Sun Valley before concluding at the SMI Complex in Central Honiara. Spectators gathered along the route to observe the contestants, each on decorated floats reflecting cultural elements from their respective nations.
The event attracted a diverse crowd, including families, tourists, and pageant supporters. Contestants represented Tonga, Samoa, American Samoa, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Cook Islands, and Papua New Guinea.
As part of the festivities, a market day was held at the SMI Complex, providing an opportunity for contestants to interact with the public. The event featured cultural performances, music, dance, and local crafts and food stalls.
Meanwhile, online voting for the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant is ongoing, with competition intensifying between Miss Tonga and Miss Samoa. Miss Kiribati has also gained traction in the rankings, closely following the Solomon Islands’ contestant.
Voting is scheduled to close at midday tomorrow, Saturday, ahead of the crowning night later in the evening.
