No tsunami threat for Solomon Islands

There is NO tsunami threat for Solomon Islands following this afternoon’s 7.3 magnitude earthquake. The Solomon Islands met services issued a statement saying that there is no tsunami threat to the Solomon Islands but expect unusual sea currents around most coastal waters. Solomon Islanders are advised to be vigilant as aftershocks are expected to continue.
