The Honiara Rugby Union competition begins today (Saturday) at the town ground Rugby Stadium. The Honiara Rugby Union Association has gain secured sponsorship from Solrais for another season. This year, 11 teams will be taking part in the competition – This year sees competition kick off early, unlike last year where COVID 19 had to force competitions to delay. Towards the end last month, the official draws for competition was successfully made into respective pool A and pool B.
The games will begin at 1pm. The first match, is Henderson hammer heads Vs Malaita Crusaders. Game 2 – is SOSA vs Islanders. The Women’s Rugby 7s championship will commence on the 11th of this month.
