SINIS award scholarships for coaches

More sport coaches are awarded scholarships under the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS). ‘Cohort Three of the Coach Scholarship’ program will run until the 15th of December 2023. The program commenced the first week of April with an orientation for the awardees. The Scholarship Program has identified coaches from Combat and Weight Sports, Racquet, Aquatic, Target and Individual Sports and Team Sports. Being the first of its kind to be offered in the country, SINIS Media says the scholarship program will enhance National Federations to support their medal objectives for the upcoming Pacific Games. It will also help provide the coaching support they need in their daily training environment and daily competition environment.
