The Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) has initiated a fundraising drive and cocktail night to garner support for the national rugby 7s teams in their upcoming competitions, including the highly anticipated Pacific Games 2023 in November.
The launch took place at the SIRUF office located at the Town Ground Rugby Stadium last Thursday evening. Representatives from various partners and sponsors were invited to witness the official delivery of sponsorship proposals and the announcement of the national rugby 7s squads’ fundraising drive.
Addressing the audience during the launch, SIRUF President George Tema expressed his delight in presenting the proposals, highlighting the unique opportunity for sponsors to support and sponsor the national 7s rugby squads as they prepare for the compulsory Oceania 7s competitions, including the upcoming Pacific Games 2023 in Honiara.
Tema expressed gratitude to potential sponsors for considering this sponsorship opportunity and conveyed the federation’s eagerness to work together in supporting the rugby 7s national squads as they strive for excellence at the Oceania 7s Championship in Brisbane in November and the Pacific Games 2023.
During the launch, detailed sponsorship materials containing comprehensive information about the benefits associated with each sponsorship level were distributed to partners, sponsors, and participants attending the event.
SIRUF aims to secure substantial support from sponsors and partners through this fundraising drive, fostering a strong partnership to assist the national rugby 7s teams in their pursuit of success on the regional and international stage.
