The Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, His Excellency Rod Hilton, expressed Australia’s commitment to supporting infrastructure projects that have a direct, positive impact on local communities. “These projects demonstrate the spirit of partnership between Solomon Islands and Australia, delivering infrastructure that is a real priority for communities, and supporting local industry and jobs,” High Commissioner Hilton said.
Australia has funded a record 100 community projects across all provinces of the Solomon Islands in 2024, representing over SBD 23 million in direct funding to local businesses. This initiative not only supports local development but also helps create jobs.
