Caretaker MP Kologeto, Dr. Kaniki and Independent Kwan Prepare to Rally Support Across Constituency Ahead of Elections

Dates have been set for the launch of political campaigns by three candidates vying for the seat in South Vella La Vella constituency.
Scheduled for next month, these candidates will reach out to their respective communities within South Vella La Vella in the Western Province.
The candidates are the caretaker MP, Frederick Kologeto, Jacob Kwan, and Dr. Hedric Kuboto Kaniki.
Frederick Kologeto, the caretaker MP for South Vella La Vella, will hold his campaign launch on Tuesday, April 2nd, at Barokoma village. He represents the Solomon Islands People’s First Party (SIPFP).
Dr. Hedric Kuboto Kaniki, running under the banner of the Solomon Islands United Party (SIUP), has also scheduled his campaign launch. Dr. Kaniki confirmed yesterday that his launch event will take place on Wednesday, April 4th, in Eleoteve village. When asked about his political launching date, Dr. Kaniki expressed his excitement and encouraged everyone to attend and participate in his launch and campaign.
Meanwhile, Jacob Kwan, an independent candidate, has confirmed that his political campaign will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, in Supato village. Kwan extended a warm invitation to the voters to witness his campaign kick-off.
These three candidates will join others who have already completed their political launches.
Former MP Alex Lionel launched his campaign under the Democratic Alliance Party (DAP) banner with a symbolic knife at Maravari village on Wednesday, March 20th. Conrad Rore, an independent candidate, also launched his campaign on the same day in Eleoteve. Ronald Ivupitu, representing the Solomon Islands Democratic Party (SIDP), held his political campaign launch at Vonunu on Thursday, March 21st.
In total, the South Vella La Vella constituency will see six candidates vying for the parliamentary seat.
